Economy Grew 4.5 Percent, Government Gratitude

Grateful government in 2009 economic growth to reach 4.5 percent because it means so much higher than initial estimates, ie 4.3 percent. That puts Indonesia as the country that can sustain its economic growth remained positive between two other countries the same fate, namely China and India.

"We are grateful in a crisis at that time many people predicted economic growth of Indonesia just three percent, and the government itself estimates that 4.3 per cent, but was 4.5 percent," said Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa in Jakarta, Wednesday (10 / 2 / 2010).

According to Hatta, Indonesia became countries with economic growth in the world's third best. This was mainly caused by government spending that measured, among others, with the flow of funds into the economic stimulus, and still goes on public consumption.

"Because of low inflation, purchasing power is relatively increased. In the future this becomes a figure that we can encourage growth. However, not simply rely government budget and public spending, we also need to encourage exports and investment," he said.
